Job Title: Project Coordinator

Position Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Project Coordinator to assist in the planning, execution, and delivery of residential and commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will support project teams by coordinating schedules, documentation, subcontractors, and resources while ensuring compliance with quality standards and timelines. This role is crucial to maintaining communication among stakeholders and keeping projects on track from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Project Managers in developing and updating construction schedules, budgets, and work plans
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers, and municipal authorities for permits, inspections, and approvals
  • Prepare, manage, and distribute project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and meeting minutes
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to internal teams and stakeholders
  • Track site activities and report on construction milestones, delays, and material delivery schedules
  • Support procurement processes by requesting quotations, issuing purchase orders, and following up with vendors
  • Help manage site safety documentation, compliance with occupational health and safety requirements, and training records
  • Attend project meetings, conduct site visits, and assist in quality control inspections
  • Maintain project files (digital and physical) and ensure version control of all project-related documents
  • Assist with final closeout procedures, including collection of warranties, manuals, and project handover documents
Qualifications:
  1. Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
  2. 2+ years of experience in construction project coordination or similar role
  3. Knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and local building codes in Saskatchewan
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project); familiarity with project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or Primavera) is an asset
  5. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  7. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  8. Valid Saskatchewan driver’s license and access to a vehicle for site visits may be required
Working Conditions:
